Happy Thursday again all!
This week we're looking at two new characters- Tiko and Yeki. They serve as an excellent reminder of how many inhabitants of sahar protect themselves from others that may want to harm them- guns.

First concepts of Tiko and Yeki
Guns in sahar are delicate tools- without the means to manufacture parts with the precision necessary to create high-quality weaponry, the majority of weapons are built from salvaged parts. Wear and tear over generations has made good parts a rarity, however some exist still stored in vaults hidden away by cults and merchants' warehouses, and hidden beneath the ever-shifting dunes of sahar. Otherwise, there are a few forges in the desert too- while they're seldom used to create weapons because of their relative abundance, they have been used to create rudimentary parts for guns and other weapons before.
Anyways, Tiko and Sett's designs were on point! The final pass changes a few aspects of Tiko and a little bit of Yeki too, to be more in line with the story's goals and a few functions that will be revealed in the first issue and those following!

Here's their first portrait together! Aren't they cute? Seeing these two characters come to life has been cathartic in a way- they were some of the first characters of sahar.
Thanks so much for tuning in this week! Next week we'll be taking our first look at the remnant of an ancient army of sahar- Oddbot. See you soon!
