Week 22: Situated!

Happy Thursday you guys! It's been a very long time since I last wrote here- about 9 weeks! I have a lot to talk about- although I haven't been able to update here on the website, I have continued to work along with my artist and togethers we're still on schedule that was outlined at the start of the year. Staying on track with it was one of my greatest concerns for this part of the year, with my move going on in the background and some other unforeseen work stuff that came up. There's still a lot going on, but I think the worst of it behind us now.

As it stands, to be on schedule we need to be done half of issue 2 by the end of may. I'm estimating we'll be there right on time, if not a little ahead of schedule.

Unfortunately besides illustration and big-picture planning there aren't many new developments. I'm living in my new home across the country now and my new job is busy, but I'm settling in nicely. That fits into the picture because my goal is to use the new space in the house to build a office area for myself where I can just sit down and work, as opposed to grabbing the kit I used and setting it up in my bedroom every time I need to complete tasks. Plus, an office space is something I'm just so excited to set up after a year of working remotely on the project. My own space! Finally!

This concept is one of the more distinctive gateways on the edge of New Parlay. It sits on the edge of a cliff, with a rudimentary and old elevator mechanism set up to allow travellers and guards to access the junkyard and ultimately the badlands situated at the bottom of the cliff. It's also home to a sacred tree, the only tree of its size actually known to exist in all of Sahar- a lasting gift from the engineer-rulers in New Parlay's history.
